Anna Zawadzka – Dziuda,

I was born in 1981 in Drawsko Pomorskie

I graduated from the secondary School of Fine Arts in Koszalin and art studies at the Institute of Fine Arts, University of Zielona Góra, obtaining in 2007 diploma in easel painting. I am member of the Association of Polish Artist and Designers.

I mainly deal with oil painting and my favorite tool is the “piainter’s knife”. In my works, I like to apply thick, structural layers of paint (impasto) and dynamic blurring made with a qiuck gesture. I am interested in color and form, and I attach great importance to the value of traditionel easel painting.

In the creative process, I transform the phenomena that inspire me: objects, personalities, landscapes into my own language and painting style. Passion for this field of art is mainly due to admiration for Impressionism and Expressionism. I’m interested in individualism, which is why I constantly study the painting of my favorite artists: Vincent van Gogh, Henri Matisse, Emil Nolde, Kees van Dongen, Olga Boznańska, Piotr Potworowski, Józef Czapski, and I could mention many other painters who made me love painting.
